Last updated: [29 July 2025]

Welcome to BoldTurn Video Productions. These Terms and Conditions govern all video pre-production (e.g. concept development, scripting, scheduling), production (e.g. filming, direction, on-site crew), post-production (e.g. editing, motion graphics, subtitling) and related creative services (“Services”) provided by BoldTurn LTD, trading as BoldTurn Video Productions, a limited company registered in the United Kingdom.

By commissioning our Services, you (“Client”) agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

  1. Scope of Work

1.1. The specific services to be provided will be outlined in a written proposal, estimate or project brief (the “Proposal”), which forms part of this agreement.

1.2. Changes to the scope must be agreed in writing. Additional work beyond the agreed scope may incur additional charges.

  1. Quotations & Payment Terms

2.1. All quotes are valid for 30 days and are subject to VAT if applicable.

2.2. A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to confirm the booking. Work will not begin until payment is received.

2.3. The remaining balance is due within 14 days of the final invoice, which will be issued upon completion of the project unless otherwise agreed.

2.4 Additional costs such as travel, accommodation, location hire, or third-party licensing will be invoiced separately unless included in the quotations.

2.5. Late payments may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 at a rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate.

2.6. BoldTurn reserves the right to withhold delivery of final materials until full payment has been received.

  1. Client Responsibilities

3.1. The Client must provide timely feedback, access to relevant personnel, locations, and resources as reasonably required to complete the project.

3.2. The Client confirms they have secured all necessary rights, permissions, and releases for any content, talent, or locations provided by them.

  1. Production & Delivery

4.1. Production timelines will be outlined in the Proposal and are subject to availability and timely cooperation from the Client.

4.2. Delivery will be via digital download unless otherwise agreed.

4.3. Any major delays caused by the Client (e.g. late feedback, rescheduling) may affect timelines and incur additional charges.

  1. Revisions

5.1. Unless stated otherwise, the quoted price includes one round of revisions.

5.2. Additional revisions will be charged at BoldTurn’s standard hourly or day rate, subject to prior approval.

  1. Ownership & Intellectual Property

6.1. BoldTurn retains ownership of all raw footage, project files, and working materials unless agreed in writing.

6.2. Upon full payment, the Client is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the final, edited video(s) for the purpose(s) stated in the Proposal.

6.3. Use of the final deliverables beyond the agreed scope (e.g. broadcast, sublicensing, resale) requires prior written consent and may incur licensing fees.

6.4. BoldTurn reserves the right to use final works and behind-the-scenes material for its own portfolio, promotional use, or award submissions, unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

6.5. BoldTurn uses licensed music appropriate to the project. Custom music or premium tracks requiring third-party licensing are the Client’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed.

  1. Cancellations & Postponements

7.1. Cancellation by the Client must be made in writing.

7.2. If the project is cancelled:

  • More than 14 days before the shoot: only the deposit is retained
  • Within 14 days of the shoot: 50% of the total fee is payable
  • Within 48 hours of the shoot: 100% of the total fee is payable

7.3. Postponement of a shoot may incur additional charges depending on third-party costs, lost opportunities, or scheduling conflicts.

7.4. If BoldTurn must cancel due to illness, equipment failure, or other unforeseen events, we will offer to reschedule at no additional cost or refund all monies paid (excluding completed work).

  1. Liability

8.1. While all reasonable care will be taken, BoldTurn’s liability for any loss or damage shall be limited to the total amount paid by the Client.

8.2. BoldTurn shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, including (but not limited to) loss of profits, business interruption, or reputational damage.

8.3. The Client is responsible for arranging insurance for any high-risk shoots, locations, or equipment if required.

8.4. All parties must comply with UK Health & Safety regulations. BoldTurn reserves the right to halt work in unsafe conditions.

  1. Confidentiality

9.1. Both parties agree to treat all commercially sensitive information disclosed during the project as confidential.

9.2. This obligation shall survive termination of the agreement.

  1. Force Majeure

BoldTurn shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, strikes, or equipment failure.

  1. Dispute Resolution

11.1. In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter through informal negotiation in good faith.

11.2. If unresolved, disputes may be referred to mediation under the guidance of the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR).

11.3. If litigation becomes necessary, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
